Beautiful and functional aren't opposites.

Have dreamed of walking out your door and picking a fresh salad for dinner? Of sending your kids out to the yard to graze on juicy berries or pick peas off the vine?Have your attempts at growing food been met with frustration, underwhelming results, or simply been forgotten about in the busy rush of daily life??

Growing food doesn’t have to be intimidating. What to grow, where to put those seeds, when to plant, how to water… I got you.   Custom plans for your yard and what you actually want to eat (no one wants 30 lbs of zucchini, am I right?).

I can help you with locating your garden for maximum results, designing a functional and beautiful space to grow, adding edible plants to your existing landscaping, seasonal garden schedules, irrigation system design and trouble shooting, soil amending, and fertilizer plans.

If you need more than just a good DIY plan, I also offer DIT (Do It Together) options where I work alongside you in weekly or biweekly sessions through the garden season to make sure your garden is thriving.

And, for that season of life when gardening is just not fitting into the schedule or if you are heading out of town and need a garden-sitter, I also offer full maintenance options so all you have to do is enjoy the harvest!

Meet the Radish Gardener

Dana Pricher, born and raised in Madison, WI.  Picking raspberries from my grandma’s yard and digging potatoes with my grandpa are some of my earliest happy memories in the garden.  I heard the call of the mountains and headed west to Colorado for my college years, graduating from Colorado State University with a BS in Wildlife Biology and Conservation Biology.  I followed that with a Master of Agriculture from Oregon State, studying Soil Science and Rangeland Ecology.  I started out my career with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service working with farmers large and small in Wasco and Hood River county to improve soil health, conserve water through irrigation system efficiency and reduce pesticide use.  I especially enjoyed working with small farmers, orchardists, and organic farmers.   Now, I have come back to my roots to work with urban dwellers that dream of a slice of the country in their back yard.

I believe that growing your own food is more than saving money, reducing your footprint, or knowing where it came from, it is an act of self-reliance, self-worth, and connection that feeds the soul.  Are you hungry?
